Missing all these ladies from @fitposium! What an awesome week it was!!

Lately I get a lot of people asking me how to stay motivated. How to work out consistently and make time in their day for working out. And trust me I have struggled with this too. I am on track and dialed in during competition time. What I’ve learned from this is that you have to make you a priority. It’s too easy to put it off until later in the day or talk yourself out of it. When you make it a non-negotiable with yourself you do it.
.
Another question I get is how do you stay motivated working out at home when there are so many things pulling you away from what you should be doing. I have come up with a few strategies myself for this.
.
. ✅Set a timer for 30 or 40 minutes just before you start your work out. I suggest you download an interval timer and set it accordingly to your goals. My favorite is 40 seconds on 30 seconds rest. The time factor really keeps you motivated and pushing yourself. Let’s face it the hardest part about working out is just getting your butt in gear and doing it. Once you start your usually fine especially if you have a timer going it doesn’t allow your mind to wander off thinking about other tasks. .
.
✅Another thing that helps is to find a good pre work out formula. I like to use something with branch chain amino acids. There are some great ones out there. I find something kicks over in the brain chemistry to help you get focused. This also helps a bit with your endurance level and helps you get a kick ass workout💪
.
. ✅ Be consistent! This has a snowball effect, the more you work out the more you’re going to want to. The first week can be the hardest but once you start to see the amazing results you get that becomes your motivation. Waking up in the morning with your whole body feeling tighter, sleeping better and eating well all works together to increase the likelihood that you will stick with it!
